Your clients carry trauma in their bodies, not only in their stories. Beyond Talk: Somatic Tools and Ethical Practice for Social Workers gives you practical, body-based skills you can use right away, and the ethical grounding to use them well.

In the morning, you'll learn how trauma lives in the nervous system and practice grounding, breath, and yoga-informed techniques that work in person and by telehealth. In the afternoon, we'll take on the hard questions: scope of practice, informed consent, touch, and boundaries when the body enters the therapy room.

You'll leave with tools you can use in your next session, an informed consent statement you can adapt for your practice, and 4 CE hours, including 2 ethics hours for license renewal.
