Meet The Team

Dr. Shelia Rivers, DSW, LCSW, MPH
The Heart and Soul Behind Rivers Psychotherapy Services
Hello! I’m Dr. Shelia Rivers, DSW, LCSW, MPH, the CEO and Chief Therapist here at Rivers Psychotherapy Services, where we’re dedicated to empowering women to achieve holistic wellness, heal from trauma, and build happier, more nurturing relationships. As a Licensed Certified Social Worker, I’ve focused my career on providing specialized support for women who have faced significant challenges, helping them reclaim their strength and well-being. Additionally, I work closely with couples to foster deeper connections and more fulfilling relationships. Whether you’re on a journey of healing or looking to enhance your relationships, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
I’ve got a pretty impressive educational background, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Education, a Master in Social Work, a Master in Public Health-Executive Administration, and a Doctor of Social Work. But what really fuels my passion is the opportunity to share my gift of therapy with those who need it most.
Licensed in both Mississippi and Louisiana, I find immense joy in empowering others, helping them develop healthier coping skills, and watching them grow into the best versions of themselves. For me, social work isn’t just a profession – it’s a calling. It’s all about making a meaningful impact on my community and the lives of the amazing individuals I have the privilege to serve.
When I’m not in the office, you might find me indulging in my hobbies – refurbishing antique furniture, embarking on mini day trips, hunting for treasures in thrift stores, expanding my collection of coffee accessories, or simply relaxing on the beach with my feet in the sand. And fun fact: I’m a rehabilitated shoe-aholic! Life’s all about balance, right?
I’m excited to continue this journey, and I can’t wait to see the positive changes we’ll create together!

Tango – Your Furry Friend at the Office
Hello! My name is Tango, and I’m a lovable therapy dog who was born on September 20, 2021. My parents, Buddy and Gracie, sure did raise a happy pup! I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and when I was just 6 weeks old, I weighed a whopping 8 lbs. 6 oz. I met my humans when I was only 3 weeks old, and life has been one big, exciting adventure ever since!
Every day, I get to go to the office where I have the best job ever – playing with the little humans! They’re so much fun, and I love getting yummy treats as rewards. My favorite toys are plastic bottles and big sticks, and I can’t get enough of them. I also have a large momma dog who lets me nip at her, but she’s the best snuggle buddy at night.
I’m super excited to spend time in the toy room with all the little humans, and nothing makes me happier than a good belly rub. I can’t wait to meet you and bring some wagging-tail joy to your day!

Greetings! I’m LaKeshia M. Fisher, a passionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health and healthcare field. My journey has been one of deep compassion, helping individuals, couples, families, children, and military veterans navigate life’s challenges to discover a more fulfilling and balanced life.

In my practice, I believe in the power of an integrative approach to therapy. By combining various intervention strategies, I encourage my clients to explore solutions and unlock their potential rather than staying focused on their problems. My goal is to provide a safe, empathetic, and empowering space where individuals can heal from trauma, embrace life transitions, and achieve personal growth. Through tailored, evidence-based interventions, I am committed to promoting mental wellness and guiding my clients toward living healthier, happier lives.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Black Family Studies from Philander Smith College in Little Rock, AR, and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m an adventurer at heart. Whether it's traveling with family and friends, diving into a good book, whipping up something delicious in the kitchen, or losing myself in music, I’m always seeking new ways to learn, grow, and find joy in the simple things.

Elisabeth Brownlee-Holland Faust, LCSW
The Mind Shifter: Your Go-To for Balance and empowerment
Hi there! I’m Elisabeth Faust, a seasoned social worker and therapist with 30 years of experience helping people navigate the rollercoaster of life. Let’s face it, we all have our ups and downs in this fast-paced, stress-filled world, and I’m here to help you find balance. Whether you're dealing with serious behavioral health challenges or just trying to keep up with life’s demands, I believe every person deserves to be heard and understood.

I’m a firm believer in Albert Einstein’s famous quote: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” That’s why I work with clients who are ready to make real changes, using powerful approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Reality Therapy. I love encouraging clients to journal, reflect, and dive into the thoughts and patterns that may be holding them back, retraining the brain to handle anxiety and daily stresses more effectively.

Life in America isn’t always easy, but emotional regulation and distress tolerance are skills we can all develop. As a social worker-therapist, my goal is to help you find your way through life’s challenges with coping strategies that actually work. Let’s connect, and together we’ll create a path toward the peace of mind you deserve!

When you’re ready to break the cycle and embrace a new mindset, I’m here to be your understanding voice and supportive partner. Let’s make change happen!

San Juanita Arredondo, LCSW
Champion of Young Minds and Resilient Hearts!
Ciao, my name is San Juanita Arredondo, and I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker. After living in Italy for the last four years, I am excited to return to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. While overseas, I used my credentials and experience to help military service members, and their families build resiliency by using a mindfulness-based approach. Now I return with the goal to share my professional and life experiences to provide the highest quality of care for children, adolescents, and families.
Prior to living overseas, I spent six years in Gulfport working as a School-based therapist and later as a School Social Worker where I saw firsthand the resiliency of young minds. Using a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and mindfulness I helped children and parents develop skills to improve their emotional well-being and enhance the child’s academic experience. I also knew that from then on, I would always seek to work with young minds and hearts.

In addition, I am a fluent Spanish speaker, and I look forward to working with Spanish speaking families from across all Latin American cultures. I was raised in South Texas along theMexican border where most of the population speaks both English and Spanish. Being a military spouse has also introduced me to various cultures across the world, and I welcome the opportunity to serve all.

With that being said, I am excited to jump on board the RPS team. If you are ready to make the connection, join me on a journey to build your most resilient self.
